Products

Choosing the right green product or material can be a complex process, therefore every material we use in our designs has been researched in depth to check its authenticity. As a result of this research we award every product the following symbols according to its eco-credentials.

Organic

This excludes the use of toxic or hazardous substances when growing the raw materials of the product or when processing/developing it. We look for certification by the Soil Asssociation or an equivalent organisation.

Low Energy

To minimalize the ecological footprint of the product on the planet reducing resource consumption, harnessing solar, wind, water or sea power during manufacture rather than using non-renewable capital such as fossil fuels. We also look for efficient use of energy in the every day use of the product.

Sustainable

Materials must come from sustainable sources. For example, to preserve the rainforest we use only FSC (Forestry Stewardship Council) timber for all wood products.

Re-cycled

A product that is made from over 50% recycled waste material.
